Made in Japan from thermoplastic elastomer infused with Binchotan charcoal powder, its soft surface provides a comfortable feel under the knife while its black color makes ingredients easy to see. The material is designed to make knife marks less noticeable, while the water-resistant surface helps with easy draining and cleanup. The board is reversible and heat-resistant up to 130°C (266°F), and it can be cleaned in the dishwasher or sanitized with boiling water.
